Recruitment as a Service: Pricing Guide

Costs are difficult to plan in the current climate. Markets shift, and budgets have to follow.
Hiring is among the hardest lines to predict. You approve the role first, and learn the actual cost later.
Recruitment as a service reverses that order.
The price is published before the work begins, so nothing is left to estimate.
This article explains more about recruitment subscription costs, what each fee covers, and how it compares with an agency.
How Recruitment as a Service Pricing Works
Recruitment subscription pricing has two parts.
The first is the subscription package fee. This is the fixed price paid upfront for a defined number of role intake credits and a defined activation period.
The second is the closing fee per hire. This is charged only for successful hires.
That split is important. The package fee pays for the recruitment work required to run searches properly: intake, candidate sourcing, screening, candidate communication, shortlist preparation, and pipeline management. The closing fee keeps the model tied to successful hiring.
The package fee is not a monthly rate.
It is a fixed subscription package that provides a set number of role intake credits. You can activate them in a specified period.
Tier | Subscription | Intake credits | Validity |
Start | €8,500 | 7 | 2 Months |
Grow | €19,500 | 15 | 4 Months |
Scale | €36,500 | 25 | 6 Months |
The validity period is the window to start your roles, not a deadline to fill them.
Example: On Grow, four months is simply the time to activate your 15 credits. A search you open in month three keeps running until it closes, even past month four.
A search is never cut short by the calendar. And any credits you do not use roll over while your subscription is active.
Unless you pause or close a role yourself, the search stays active beyond the subscription period, right through the part where a hard role needs the most patience.
Note: If there is no client response for 14 days, the role may be placed on hold. If it remains on hold for 28 days, Serendi may cancel the role.
You can cancel with 30 days' written notice. Otherwise, the recruitment subscription renews at the end of the validity period.
The closing fee is paid only for successful hires.
Total compensation | Closing fee per hire |
€40k to €60k | €4,700 |
€60k to €90k | €7,600 |
€90k to €120k | €10,300 |
Above €120k | €13,000 |
Recruitment as a Service: What Each Tier Includes
Every tier comes with a dedicated Talent Acquisition Partner and a named backup, a structured intake call, AI-boosted sourcing across active and passive candidates, a screened shortlist of at least three candidates, a first candidate within seven days, and a search that stays active until you hire.
Grow adds the intelligence layer: a Talent Market Intelligence roadmap for the intake, a live KPI dashboard, and interview scheduling support.
Scale adds the safeguards: a three-month hire guarantee, confidential search with NDA protection, and a competitor mapping report per role.
Recruitment as a Service vs Agency Cost
An agency charges a percentage of first-year salary, usually 15% to 30%. That percentage climbs with every euro of salary. A recruitment subscription replaces it with a fixed fee: a flat package, plus a set closing fee per hire.
On a single €80,000 hire, a 20% agency fee is €16,000. The Serendi closing fee for the same role is €7,600.
Across a full plan, the gap grows.
10 hires, €80,000 average salary: | Cost |
Agency, at 20% of salary | €160,000 |
Serendi Flex, Grow tier | €95,500 |
You save | €64,500 (40%) |
The Flex figure is the Grow subscription (€19,500) plus ten closing fees of €7,600. Across the wider 15% to 30% agency range, the same plan saves you between 20% and 60%.
Agency, subscription-based recruitment, and full RPO each fit a different kind of hiring need. To see how they line up, Agency vs Subscription vs RPO: Which One Fits walks through all three.
Why the Recruitment Subscription Model Changes Search Commitment
An agency is paid only for successful hires, and the fee is a percentage of the salary. Both facts influence the process itself.
A higher salary means a bigger commission, so the easy, well-paid roles get the attention. And when a search turns difficult, the financial logic makes them move on. Effort on a hard role that may never close will not bring in profits.
A subscription changes the design. The work is paid for up front. A difficult search is already funded, so the recruiter stays with it instead of leaving for a faster win. Your niche role gets the same effort as your obvious one.
What the Recruitment Subscription Buys: Better Shortlists and Hires That Last
Flex runs on the same recruitment engine that delivers our results everywhere else: the same recruiters, the same sourcing, the same candidate screening.
We present at least three screened candidates per role. Across our programs, more than 50% of candidates reach the interview stage, and 96% of the offers our clients make are accepted. Of the people we place, 95% to 97% clear their probation period.
Good candidates up front, and hires that stay.
Recruitment as Service Pricing: Frequently Asked Questions
How much does recruitment as a service cost?
With Serendi Flex, you pay a subscription from €8,500 and a closing fee per hire, starting at €4,700. The subscription is set by your hiring volume and service depth, while the closing fee is set by the role's pay band.
What does a recruitment subscription cost in a month with no hires?
Only the subscription, which keeps the search and sourcing moving. You will pay the closing fee only for successful hires.
Can I change my recruitment subscription tier later?
Yes, you are not locked in. You can upgrade at any time, you pay only the difference, your unused credits carry over, and the added features switch on right away.
What happens to unused intake credits?
They are not lost at the end of the period. Any credits you have not used roll forward while your subscription stays active, so a quiet month is not wasted budget. They are only forfeited if you cancel the subscription
Does recruitment-as-a-service include a hire guarantee?
On the Scale tier, yes. If a hire resigns voluntarily within three months, and you reopen the role with the same requirements, the search restarts with no new closing fee and no new intake credit.
Can I cancel a recruitment subscription, and what happens to unused credits?
You can cancel with 30 days' written notice. Otherwise, the subscription renews at the end of the validity period. Unused credits stay available while your subscription is active. They are not refunded if you cancel.
Is recruitment as a service cheaper than a recruitment agency?
Above one or two hires, almost always. A single placement on a low salary can be cheaper through an agency. Across three or four roles, the recruitment subscription pulls ahead.
